Three different answers on one campus

Twin XL, Full, or bring your own bed entirely. Canyon Creek Heights residents in particular should verify North versus South before ordering anything.

Bed and room basics

University Commons and Canyon Creek Heights North take Twin XL bedding. Canyon Creek Heights South takes Full. University Village apartments are unfurnished, so residents supply their own bed and furniture. Bathrooms, kitchens, air conditioning and storage vary, so wait for the assignment before buying rugs, organizers or furniture.

Pack these first

  • Bedding in the size the assigned building uses
  • Towels, toiletries and a shower caddy
  • Laundry and cleaning supplies, since laundry is included without an added machine charge
  • Something for extreme August heat
  • Approved surge protection

Rules and smart skips

  • University Commons allows one mini-fridge and/or microwave per suite, so coordinate with suitemates.
  • University Village and Canyon Creek Heights include major appliances.
  • Instant Pots, open-heating-source items, candles, incense, space heaters, hot plates and halogen lighting are prohibited.
  • Extension cords and adhesive strips are not allowed.

Before move-in

  • Read the assignment email for the date, time-selection link, roommate information, address and rental options.
  • Bring the Comet Card and label belongings.
  • Do not ship items before moving in. Housing cannot hold furniture deliveries.
