Bed and room basics

Rooms include a height-adjustable bed, Twin XL mattress, desk and chair, bookcase or shelf, bureau, wardrobe or closet, and trash and recycling containers. Bed height adjusts from approximately 5 to 30 inches.

Pack first

Bring Twin XL bedding and topper, towels, shower supplies, laundry gear, hangers, fan, cleaning basics, UL-approved surge protector and seasonally appropriate clothing. A microwave may be up to 700 watts and 0.7 cubic foot; a refrigerator may be up to 3.0 cubic feet. 700-watt microwaves · fridges under 3 cu ft

Rules and smart skips

Decorating rules differ at CHCRC and North Apartments, where pushpins are used instead of removable strips. Do not bring exposed-coil appliances, candles, hoverboards, octopus lamps or toasters. All furniture stays in the room.

Before move-in

• Confirm your campus, building, room type and bed size.
• Coordinate shared appliances and cleaning supplies.
• Review the latest check-in time, route and unloading rules.
• Keep bedding, identification, medication and chargers accessible.

One car gets unloaded at the hall, so pack like every box has to justify its seat.
