Georgia Southern move-in
Georgia Southern calls its fall arrival program Operation Move-In. Students select a move-in timeslot through the On-Campus Housing Portal. The university recommends completing the Eagle Card process before arrival, since many buildings use the card for access.
Time-sensitive for Fall 2026
Georgia Southern currently lists Operation Move-In beginning Friday, August 14, 2026. Use the university's current instructions and assigned timeslot, not an older checklist or social post.
Before leaving home
- Select the assigned move-in date and time in the housing portal.
- Print the university's move-in confirmation for the vehicle dashboard if instructed.
- Complete the Eagle Card photo and pickup process.
- Review the assigned hall's measurements and virtual tour.
- Bring a dolly or folding cart if available; university moving bins may be limited.
- Confirm parking and unloading directions shortly before arrival.

What to bring, and what not to bring
Start with Georgia Southern's current list, since appliance, extension-cord, furniture and decoration rules may change. Then use DormHQ to organize the approved items by who is buying, what has arrived and what still needs to be packed.
