Bed and room basics

Residence hall rooms use Twin XL mattresses and include a loftable or bunkable bed, desk, chair, dresser, closet, sink, and trash container. North and South Halls include a MicroFridge, so personal refrigerators and microwaves are not allowed there. Other halls have different appliance rules.

Pack these first

• Twin XL bedding and mattress protection
• Serious winter layers, boots, and a compact fan
• Laundry, shower, and study supplies

Rules and smart skips

• For halls without a provided MicroFridge, microwaves should be under 900 watts and refrigerators are preferably 3.5 cubic feet or smaller. 900-watt microwaves · Fridges under 3.5 cu ft
• Skip open-coil appliances.
• Use poster putty or pushpins instead of adhesive strips.

Before move-in

• Confirm the building, room type, mattress, and provided furniture.
• Read the latest official move-in and prohibited-items guidance.
• Decide who is bringing shared appliances and cleaning supplies.
• Measure first, shop second, avoid explaining a giant rug to your family later.
