Bring a dolly
UNC Charlotte does not supply move-in carts. Set up the 49er Mobile ID at least one business day before arrival, too.
Bed and room basics
Most rooms use a 36-by-80-inch Twin XL mattress, with Greek Village the 53-by-80-inch Full exception. Every hall has air conditioning, Wi-Fi, laundry, kitchens and elevators, though room-specific details differ. Wait for the assignment before buying bedding, rugs, organizers, furniture or shared appliances.
Pack these first
- Bedding in the size the assigned hall uses
- Towels and shower supplies
- Cleaning and laundry basics
- A personal dolly, since carts are not supplied
- Approved power protection
Rules and smart skips
- Confirm whether the assignment supplies a refrigerator, microwave, shower curtain and bathroom items before buying any of them.
- Coordinate shared appliances, rugs and common-area décor after viewing the hall page.
- Limit helpers to the current guest allowance.
Before move-in
- Move-in uses a selected appointment, so pick a time as soon as the window opens.
- Set up the 49er Mobile ID at least one business day before arrival.
- Bring photo ID and use the assigned hall front desk.
