Personal refrigerators are prohibited
Cincinnati does not allow personal refrigerators, beds, mattresses or lofts. Many communities already include a microwave-refrigerator combination.
Bed and room basics
Most beds take Twin XL bedding, though some communities use Full. Room type, bathroom, kitchen, air conditioning and storage vary by community, so wait for the exact assignment before buying bedding, rugs, organizers, furniture or shared appliances. University furniture stays in the room.
Pack these first
- Bedding in the size the assigned community uses
- Towels and bathroom supplies for the assigned layout
- Laundry and cleaning items
- A fan

Rules and smart skips
- Personal refrigerators, beds, mattresses and lofts are prohibited.

- Halogen lighting, candles, incense, diffusers and wireless routers are also prohibited.
Before move-in
- Move-in dates and times arrive with the housing assignment.
