University of Arizona
📍 Tucson, AZ
Quick take
Most University of Arizona dorm rooms use Twin XL beds and include the basic furniture. Some dorms offer full-size beds needing Full sheets, and bathroom and bed configurations vary. Check the assigned dorm page before buying fitted bedding or storage.
Start with the dorm assignment
The University of Arizona organizes its dorm choices across campus districts, with traditional doubles, singles, triples and a range of bathroom arrangements.
Use the official dorm directory and the assigned dorm page to confirm room type and occupancy, community, suite or private bathroom, bed size and configuration, room dimensions and floor plan, included amenities, and building-specific move-in details.
Bedding rule
Most beds are 80-inch Twin XL, but some dorms have full-size beds. Confirm the assignment before ordering. A "probably Twin XL" sheet set is still the wrong sheet set when the room says otherwise.
What Arizona provides
The university says each resident generally receives a bed and mattress, desk and chair, closet or wardrobe, dresser, and trash and recycling bins. Rooms also include window blinds. Residence-hall amenities include laundry facilities, community kitchens, study and recreation spaces, internet and building support. Specific layouts and amenities vary by dorm.
Bed height and storage
Many university beds can be bunked or height-adjusted, but exceptions apply. Arizona's housing FAQ currently lists restrictions for Apache-Santa Cruz, Babcock, Colonia de la Paz, Graham-Greenlee, Honors Village, Kaibab-Huachuca and Manzanita-Mohave. Check the assigned dorm page and current FAQ before buying bed risers, a bed skirt, under-bed drawers or rolling carts that depend on a specific clearance.
Measure first. The storage cart is not going to magically shrink.

Appliances and shared items
Do not assume every room needs a separate refrigerator, microwave, rug or cleaning kit. Coordinate with roommates and check the assigned dorm's rules first. The university's front desks may have vacuums, pots and pans available for checkout, worth checking before buying something bulky.
Before move-in
- Review the housing assignment and assigned dorm page.

- Use the university's current What to Bring checklists.
- Review the latest move-in appointment and parking instructions.
- Pack bedding, toiletries, medication, chargers and a change of clothes where they can be reached first.
- Photograph the room condition during check-in and report existing damage.
