The quick take

Boise State has standard Twin, Full and Full XL beds depending on the community. Read the assignment before buying sheets. Your future self deserves this small kindness.

Bed sizes by community

  • Chaffee, Driscoll, Keiser, Morrison, Taylor, Towers, Syringa, Clearwater, Payette, Selway, University Suites and University Square: standard Twin, about 74 x 38 inches
  • Lincoln Townhomes: Full, about 78 x 54 inches
  • Honors College and Sawtooth, plus The Osprey: Full XL, about 80 x 52 inches (Full XL sheets)
  • A limited number of extended Twin mattresses are available for taller residents through the university process.

Boise State suggests Queen sheets may fit Full XL beds more comfortably, especially with a topper. Verify your building's current guidance.

What is provided

Bedrooms include a bed, mattress, desk, dresser and closet space. Kitchens and furnished living areas vary by community.

Pack first

Correct-size bedding, mattress protector, towels, shower supplies, hangers, laundry gear, cleaning basics, surge protector and a fan. A mini fridge may be no larger than 3.2 cubic feet. Microwaves in the 700 to 800 watt range are recommended.

Leave home

Do not bring personal bed risers or cinder blocks. Housing staff handle approved bed adjustments. Wait to buy bulky storage until you have confirmed the room dimensions.

Before move-in

Confirm the building, bed size, bathroom style, kitchen access and arrival instructions. Coordinate shared appliances with roommates.
